Leaving the hospital

The transition from hospital to home can bring mixed emotions. For some women, coming home may feel like the start of 'real life' in the 'real world', and a chance for the 'family' to be alone with each other, finding their own ways of doing things. For others, no longer having caregivers in close proximity may be a bit daunting.

In this section, we aim to provide you with information on saying goodbye to your caregiver and an overview of immediate community services that will be available to you once you and your baby leave the hospital.
